Coxlow Counselling - This is the first step......
About me
I have a degree from Brighton Univeristy in Person-Centred Counselling, and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have worked in my own practice for the past eight years with people, either individually or as a couple, who bring their own unique set of circumstances that they feel is getting in the way of living their life as they would like.
I have worked as a volunteer counsellor for Macmillan Cancer Care and at a G.P's surgery helping people who are suddenly confronted by this illness.
Other experience has been gained from working with doctor referrals on a range of issues at a G.P's surgery. I've also worked with Mankind, a charity helping the male victims of sexual abuse and with Summerhayes, a charity that provide low cost counselling to the local community.
After attending a Mindfulness course and experiencing the benefits from its practise first hand, I now also work with people who would like to learn how to apply its use in their day to day living to reduce stress and anxiety and promote general well-being.
As a member of BACP I adhere to their Code of Conduct and Ethical Framework, which includes being in regular supervision and attending training and workshops as part of my Continued Personal Development.
If you have anything you'd like to ask, or you'd like to make a date for a free introductory session,  you're welcome to call or e.mail me.
